Video: Maybe Your Child Is Trying To Say Something. Pick Up The Clues, Before It’s Too Late

Supported by

Once as children we learnt, and then as parents some of us taught our children – how to cross the road, not to play with fire, not to talk to strangers. Today we need to learn and teach our children -in a way they can understand – about child sexual abuse.

More than 20,000 cases of child sexual abuse are recorded every year in India, many more go unreported. When the child is too afraid to speak up, the onus is on everyone of us to try and understand what the child might be trying to say.

The video is a part of #FullStop campaign launched today by Bachpan Bachao Andolan (BBA), in association with Kailash Satyarthi Children’s Foundation (KSCF).

Visit #FullStop website to know how to identify children who are being abused and also to self-heal if you have been abused.

If you think your child has been abused or a child comes to you and expresses his/her trouble,
1. Believe the child; children rarely lie about sexual abuse.
2. Commend the child for speaking up.
3. Assure the child that you will protect him or her.
