West Bengal: Massive Fire Breaks Out At A Godown Near Kolkata

On 12th March, a massive fire broke out in a godown in Kolkata's Tangra neighbourhood. A total of eight fire trucks have been dispatched to the scene, and a firefighting operation has begun. The fire started at 6:30 p.m. in a tannery on Meher Ali Lane (Under Tangra PS), according to Kolkata Police. The fire quickly spread throughout the tannery's entire territory. Residents of the nearby shanties have been evacuated, according to the police. After the fire tender ran out of water, the residents filled buckets with water from their homes. According to West Bengal Fire Services Minister Sujit Bose, no injuries have been reported as a result of the incident thus far.
