Delhi and its adjoining areas witnessed heavy rainfall and thunderstorms in the early hours of January 8. Heavy rains led to waterlogging in parts of South Delhi. The air quality in the national capital improved to 'poor' from the 'very poor' category. The IMD tweeted that more moderate rainfall would occur around Delhi and Delhi NCR region.
