Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma on 15th January reprimanded the Deputy Commissioner (DC) of Nagaon district for halting traffic for his visit, which led to a traffic jam near Gumothagaon on National Highway 37. He completely Stood against VIP culture, and Sarma further said that this VIP culture is not acceptable in today’s Assam. But his behaviour towards DC of Nagaon was highly criticized by the netizen over social media. Many said he disrespected an IAS officer who was doing his duty. This incident has fumed a two-pole debate over social media.
