Massive Forest Fire Broke out In Tamil Nadu's Dindigul District Near Kodaikanal Hills

On 10 March, parts of a forest in the Kodaikanal hills in Tamil Nadu's Dindigul district caught fire on the Perimalmalai Peak. As of 11th March, the fire which started around midnight on 10th March in the Manjur forest area, has spread to the Mayiladum Parai and Kurusadi forest areas. Forest personnel has been dispatched to the site, where campaigners have called for helicopters to be dispatched to extinguish the fire in order to safeguard the forest's endangered creatures.
