In a communal flare-up between groups in Northwest Delhi's Jahangirpuri, on the evening of April 16, strict security measures have been taken by the authorities. The Delhi Police has deployed security personnel in large numbers after the conflict which led to stone-pelting and injuring of 6 policemen along with others. Meanwhile, the Noida Police Department is on high alert, and a flag march was held to instil faith and security in the public. “After Delhi’s sensitive incident, a flag march is being conducted by police with the goal to create an atmosphere of faith and security for the public. I appeal to the public to maintain peace and not pay heed to rumours,” said Love Kumar, Joint Police Commissioner.
