Betrayed Indian Boxer Laishram Sarita Devi breaks down during medal ceremony where Sarita was robbed off her bout as the judges gifted the bout in favour of the Korean.

As a result of this, Sarita was made to settled for Bronze medal. Today, in the medal ceremony, Sarita refused to receive the Bronze medal, then takes it and went to the Korean opponent, gave it to the Korean to whom which she unfairly lost to in the semi-finals.

Reports also said the Indian boxer had to borrow money from a journalist to lodge her protest against the decision since officials from the Indian Olympic Association chose not to involve themselves in Sarita’s case.

“It has been 24 hours and not one official has come to speak with me and ask me if I am fine. They just come here to take photos with medallists and nothing else.”
