A 12-Year-Old Girl On Politics: Politicians Give A Lot Of Lectures, But Only Action Can Bring About Change

“What if all Indians come together to do a good thing each day to make India a better place to live in? When I shared this with my teacher, he told it is difficult for this to happen in India. Imagine Hindus and Muslims coming together and doing good things: India will change and becomes the best country in the world. India is home to different types of people and everyone lives together, but human relationships like brother, sister and friend are missing among us. A lot of misunderstandings among various sections of the society and people are killing each other. This makes India vulnerable to external forces. If India becomes one, India will change and become the best country in the world.

Because of politicians, Indians are fighting. Politics should bring all people together. People should not vote for politicians based on caste and religion. We are not able to recognise the importance of our vote. People vote for the party who gives them more money, and they are failing to see their future for the next five years. For a politician to win, s/he needs votes from every section of the society, irrespective of caste and religion, so when the politician wins s/he should listen to everyone and solve their problems. The elected politician should concentrate on important issues which are needed to be addressed and not trivial things or issues. S/he should take into consideration the whole constituency and work for it.

Politicians give a lot of lectures, but just giving speeches don’t change things; in reality, only action does. Politicians should also face what problems ordinary people are facing, only then politicians will come to know the reality. When the PM takes any important decisions, he should consider all the possibilities of making the society better.“
