Renowned Indian sand artist Sudarshan Pattnaik was awarded with gold medal at the ninth Moscow Sand Sculpture Championship “The magical world of sand” 2016. Pattnaik bagged the award for best composition, for his 15 feet high art work “Mahatma Gandhi’s sculpture for nonviolence and peace”.
The competition was held at Kolomenskoye in Moscow from April 21 to 27, where 20 best sculptors from different countries competed for the championship. This is not his first though.
