Daughter Of US President Works In A Restaurant During Her Summer Break

Sasha Obama, daughter of US President Barack Obama, leaving the comforts of the White House is now working at a counter of a seafood restaurant. 15-year-old Sasha has taken a summer job of serving food in Martha’s Vineyard, Massachusetts.

The town has been a favorite location for the Obamas on their summer breaks.

The Boston Herald reported that she is using her full name as Natasha, and is accompanied to the restaurant by a contingent of six secret service agents.

Her coworkers were confused to see six men helping their newly joined regular girl, but later found out who she was.

Wearing the restaurant’s uniform of blue T-shirt and cap she works at the takeaway counter; her duties include waiting on tables and helping to prepare the restaurant for its lunchtime opening. First Lady Michelle Obama wanted to bring up her two daughters as normally as possible and President Obama wanted to teach the kids the value of labor.

It is amazing to see such a great value-based parenting and leading life with examples. Indian politicians need to learn the value of labor and efforts. In India, work is labeled under classes and there is a huge economic and social gap in between two different classes of work – manual and intellectual.

Every kid in the world should be taught the value of labor. And every worker should be given dignity.
