6-Year-Old Legless And Homeless Boy, Who Found His Inspiration In Sport

When God takes something from you it gives you something better. You need to find out your ‘call’ and give it your best shot. The story of this 6-years-old boy is a living example of ‘Never Give Up’ attitude and to make the best use of what you have rather than focusing on what you don’t.

This young wrestler from Long Beach who has no legs is captivating audiences with his moves on the mat.

6-year-old Isaiah Bird was born with a defect that left him without legs. His personal battles don’t end there, he lives in a shelter at a Glen Cove Church with his mother and 1-year-old brother and his family can’t afford a wheelchair so Isaiah gets around on his hands.

Impressed with Isaiah’s strength, coach Miguel Rodriguez suggested he give wrestling a shot.”Wrestling is a sport where you don’t really need legs to be an athlete,” says Rodriguez.

Isaiah won so many matches this year that he qualified for the state tournament. He is inspiration to millions and gives us hope and strength to fight back in life.
