Woman Thrown Out Of Moving Train After Allegedly Being Gangraped

Three men allegedly raped a 35-year-old woman in a moving train and threw her out of the train. The incident took place on 18th September in Mau district of Uttar Pradesh. She lost her right leg and has sustained some serious injuries.


The Incident

The woman was going back to her home in Shahganj area, Jaunpur(Uttar Pradesh) by Tamsa passenger on Saturday. She was in the last compartment, and since it was a late night, there were hardly any other passengers. Three hawkers allegedly raped her, and she was thrown out of the train.
After she was pushed out of a train, her leg got stuck in the rail line, and she ended up losing her right leg. The Villagers heard the woman screaming and ran for help. They saw her naked on the railway track of Khazakhurd railway station.
The villagers took her to Khurat railway station for treatment at the district hospital. Later she was referred to BHU, Varanasi since her condition was deteriorating.


Current Situation
She is now admitted at the Trauma Center of BHU hospital and is being given pain killer injection at regular intervals. She has been stitched on most of her body. Railway officials and army people donated their blood to save her. As of now, her husband is taking care of her.
