On Waiting-List On Rajdhani Train, Get Upgraded To Air India

Air India and IRCTC are entering into a pact that would please a lot of travelers. A unique initiative which is expected to be completed within a week and will facilitate passengers (who are wait listed) on Rajdhani Express to travel in Air India subject to marginal extra payment.

The pact allows passengers who have booked in various classes on Rajdhani express to get their tickets on Air India. The extra payment varies according to the classes. The first class ticket would not have to pay anything extra while second and third AC class would have to pay Rs 2000 per ticket.
The initiative is in the backdrop of various initiatives put together to revive the fortunes of Air India by increasing the seat occupancy on the airline according to Mr. Lohani, an IRS officer who heads the airline.

The Logical Indian welcomes the innovative initiatives taken to revive the under performing national carrier. Whether the scheme works or not, innovation is the best way forward. We wish Mr. Lohani and Air India team the best wishes over the new initiative.
