Minor Girl From UP Arrives Police Station With An Aborted Foetus To Lodge An FIR Against Her Rapist

In a shocking incident, a 14-year-old minor girl from Meerut, Uttar Pradesh arrived at Bulandshahr (rural) police station on Monday carrying an aborted foetus in a polythene bag to file an FIR against a man who allegedly raped her repeatedly over six months after which his family forced her to abort her pregnancy by a quack.

According to the police, the accused Yunus Ahmad is a neighbour of the victim at Bhaipura Bulandshahr. He allegedly raped the girl six months ago and threatened her with dire consequences if she told it to anyone.

He kept on sexually assaulting her. On Sunday, the girl started to feel excessive stomach pain which turned out to be pregnancy. Agitated by this, her family confronted Yunus, who forcefully took the girl and her mother to a quack and got the foetus aborted.

She was taken to a local midwife for the abortion. There, she was given pills by one of the women, after which her condition worsened. Another woman aborted the child.

After the abortion was done, some altercation took place between the two midwives regarding the payment after which the girl and her mother were thrown out of their house along with the foetus. The girl, however, kept the foetus with her and carried it to the police station. The foetus has been sent for forensic tests.

Yunus has been booked by the police in case of rape and under POCSO Act. Bulandshahr’s Chief Medical Officer Dr Deepak Kumar said that the quack’s ‘clinic’ was sealed after the FIR was lodged. He said the victim is weak and is undergoing treatment.
