[WATCH] My Story: Poor Customer Service At Airport – Broken Luggage, Rude Staff

#‎MyStory‬

We were travelling from Ahmadabad to Chennai in Aircosta Airlines on 23/08/2015. One of our checked-in baggages was badly damaged on arrival. The zipper lock was broken with the suitcase fully unzipped and opened, and the pull-handle was broken and totally damaged as well. For the same we had contacted one of the Aircosta ground staff to take up our complaint and give us an acknowledgement receipt or a complaint reference number.  The ground staff had refused to comply with our request. In fact, they started laughing at our grievance and stated that Aircosta was not responsible for any damage during the flight and that we should go out out of the airport. They tried to intervene so as to stop us from recording about their pathetic customer service and called in the police officials. After nearly 75 minutes of argument, they had to comply with the orders of the police and give us the acknowledgement receipt.

Repairing the damaged suitcase might have costed only few hundred rupees, or a thousand or two but the way the ground staff had handled the situation and took us (customers) for a ride was unexpected. They had made fun of us as customers and proved that the Aircosta Airlines certainly provides pathetic and cheap customer service to its customers. They refused to gives us any acknowledgement slip or take up our complaint and simply asked us to leave the airport. We only have the police officials to thank as they had intervened, showed us some courtesy and gave us a satisfactory response.
