Meet Peter Van Geit, he is from Belgium living in Chennai for last 17 years. He is the founder of Chennai Trekking Club and has been at the forefront of rescue, relief and rehab missions during and post floods in Chennai and Cuddalore. He has shown that respect can only be earned with leading by example. Be it cleaning the roads, or drains, or the sludge filled drain pipes, He has been there done that by himself and shown that no work is small.
During Chennai Floods, he saved lives of at least 130 Chennaites 
He has shown that it doesn’t matter who you are, where you live in and where you came from, all that matters is the concern you have towards the place you call home. You need not step in the slush and sewage, but all you can very much do is not to trash your garbage but to dispose it off in the bins. He is more patriotic than many of Indians can ever be.
The Logical Indian community salutes him and hopes he inspires us and we don’t create the garbage we don’t want to clean and try to make India Swachh.
