Ireland has voted in favour of allowing same-sex marriage in a historic referendum, making the largely Catholic country the world’s first to make the change after a popular vote.
All of Ireland’s 43 constituencies except one voted in favour of the measure, with the final figures showing 62 per cent of votes in favour of the change and 38 per cent against.
This voting is an example for the world where majority has supported people who are in minority. The right to live without violating rights of other people is most basic human rights and everyone should fight together, so that someone in society doesn’t feel alienated just because they do not fulfill the society’s criteria of being normal.
The Logical Indian community applauds citizens of Ireland and also hope that LGBT community of India also gets the support they need
