Kamayani, Janata Express Trains Derail in Madhya Pradesh: 27 Feared Dead

HARDA, MADHYA PRADESH:  At least 27 people have died and 40 are injured after two passenger trains derailed within minutes of each other while crossing flooded tracks in Madhya Pradesh late on Tuesday night. More than 300 people were rescued overnight as reproted by NDTV.

The bridge, which is between Khirkiya and Harda station, was apparently damaged following heavy rains leading to the tragedy. Some bogies of both the trains have also fallen into the Machak river which is about 160 kilometers from Madhya Pradesh capital Bhopal.
