Uttrakhand Protest: Section 144 Imposed In Dehradun Following Mass Protest Against Paper Leak
Several students and members of the state’s unemployed association continued their protest on Sunday against various paper leak incidents in Dehradun. Section 144 was imposed in the state following mass protests which turned violent, and many protesters and police officers got injured. Protesters have demanded a Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) inquiry into recruitment scams in Dehradun and the rescheduling of the exams.

The research paper titled “Time Use Data: A Tool for Gendered Policy Analysis” revealed that women in the working age category of 15 to 60 years spend 7.2 hours on unpaid domestic work compared to 2.8 hours spent by men, indicating they have “time poverty”.

The World Health Organization(WHO) is deploying expert teams and flights with medical supplies to Turkey and Syria after the devastating earthquake. While sharing this video on Twitter, WHO wrote, “This is not an ordinary cargo, it carries 37 metric tons of life-saving- critical trauma kits, medical supplies, medicines to be distributed to health facilities in #Türkiye & #Syria. @WHO has released $16+ million from the Contingency Fund for Emergencies for the response.”
