Cyclone Gabrielle, which reached New Zealand on February12, resulted in huge damage in the country, including landslides and high winds that left four people dead and displaced thousands from their homes. As per the latest information, Cyclone Gabrielle weakened and moved away from New Zealand on Wednesday, however, residents in hard-hit areas have been asked to conserve water and food because of fears of shortages after New Zealand on February 14 declared a national state of emergency.

WHO Sends Tons Of Trauma Kits & Medical Equipments To Turkey & Syria Earthquake Zone

The World Health Organization(WHO) is deploying expert teams and flights with medical supplies to Turkey and Syria after the devastating earthquake. While sharing this video on Twitter, WHO wrote, “This is not an ordinary cargo, it carries 37 metric tons of life-saving- critical trauma kits, medical supplies, medicines to be distributed to health facilities in #Türkiye & #Syria. @WHO has released $16+ million from the Contingency Fund for Emergencies for the response.”

More than 300 people have been rendered homeless,” he captioned the video. Earlier, a notice was issued urging residents to vacate their jhuggis and even pucca houses built on government land, however, the residents alleged that they are not illegally occupying the area as they have been residing on the land for years.
