GHMC’s (Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation) Annual Budget is close to 6000 crore rupees (This is more than the annual budget of some 40 odd countries in the world). Most of our daily needs like Clean Roads, Filling Potholes, Covering Manholes, Lifting Garbage, Maintenance of Parks, and Street Lights are all functions of GHMC. In other words, our daily lives are more affected by how GHMC functions than the functioning of an MLA or an MP.
