Several schools in Delhi, including Delhi Public School Dwarka, Krishna Model Public School, and Sarvodaya Vidyalaya, received bomb threats on the morning of September 20, 2025, leading to immediate evacuations and intense security operations. These threats, delivered via phone calls, created panic as students and staff were safely moved to secure locations.

Police teams, along with bomb disposal units and fire services, rushed to affected campuses to carry out thorough searches. Though no explosives were found, investigations continue to trace the source of these threats amid a series of similar incidents across the national capital this year.

Coordinated Response to Threats

The targeted schools took swift action once the bomb threats were received. DPS Dwarka, one of the premier educational institutions affected, announced closure for the day and postponed mid-term examinations scheduled for Saturday, urging parents to pick up their children promptly. Similar precautionary evacuations were carried out at Krishna Model Public School and Sarvodaya Vidyalaya, while authorities deployed dog squads and bomb disposal experts to conduct detailed sweeps.

Delhi Police confirmed that the students and staff were evacuated safely without any injuries, and all search operations were ongoing at the time of reporting. Officials assured the public that these situations are treated with utmost seriousness, with coordination among police, fire services, and school administrations ensuring minimal disruption to safety.

Context of Persistent Threats in Delhi

This incident fits a worrying pattern of hoax bomb threats targeting educational institutions and other public buildings in Delhi throughout 2025. Since early this year, over 150 facilities-including schools, colleges, government offices, courts, and hotels-have faced similar threats, forcing repeated evacuations and extensive security checks.

A month prior, a threatening email about explosives planted in the Taj Palace Hotel was declared a hoax following thorough investigation. Earlier in September, threats targeted the Delhi High Court and several medical colleges, contributing to an atmosphere of heightened alertness.

These recurring hoaxes have prompted judicial and administrative directives for enhanced safety measures in schools, including mandatory CCTV cameras, evacuation drills, and monthly safety audits submitted to district authorities.

The Logical Indian’s Perspective

The Logical Indian strongly condemns these acts of intimidation that disrupt peaceful learning environments and fan unnecessary fear among children and communities. While thankfully no real explosives have been found in these cases, the emotional and psychological impact on students, parents, and staff is significant.

We acknowledge and appreciate the fast, coordinated response of Delhi’s police, bomb squads, and school authorities, which ensured the safety of thousands of children. The continuous threats underscore the need for a community-wide commitment to empathy, vigilance, and proactive security without breeding mistrust or panic.
