Merit List Highlights and Official Instructions

The AP DSC Merit List 2025 was prepared using an 80:20 formula, with 80% weightage given to the District Selection Committee Teacher Recruitment Test (TRT) scores, and 20% allocated to the Andhra Pradesh Teacher Eligibility Test (TET) marks. Prior to publication, candidates were permitted to correct their TET scores until August 20 to ensure the accuracy of merit calculations.

The list provides detailed data including candidates’ names, roll numbers, category, marks obtained, and merit rankings, segmented by district and post. M.V. Krishna Reddy, DSC 2025 convener, assured that shortlisted candidates will be issued call letters containing instructions for certificate verification.

Candidates must attend verification centers with all original and attested documents plus photographs, as failure to appear leads to cancellation of their candidature and replacement by next eligible candidates on the merit list.

Background and Recruitment Process Context

The Mega DSC 2025 exams were held from July 1 and July 2, 2025, drawing approximately 335,000 candidates from a pool of 577,000 applicants. The recruitment covered multiple teacher posts across Andhra Pradesh, including teaching and principal positions in general and residential schools.

After releasing provisional and final answer keys and addressing objections, the results were declared on August 11. This merit list now enables eligible candidates to move on to the critical certificate verification phase, confirming their academic credentials, reservation category, and eligibility per government norms.

The recruitment process emphasizes fairness, transparency, and merit-based selection to improve education quality across the state.

The Logical Indian’s Perspective

The Andhra Pradesh DSC 2025 recruitment reflects a commendable commitment to transparency and meritocracy in teacher hiring. By establishing clear guidelines and a structured verification process, the government helps protect candidates’ rights and the recruitment’s integrity.

Yet, the pressure on candidates navigating this competitive process can be immense. It is crucial that educational bodies, civil society, and communities work together to provide aspirants with empathetic support and accessible information.
