Supported by

Eight people, including a policeman, have died in Gujarat since Tuesday night in violence that erupted after one of their leaders Hardik Patel, 21, was detained for a brief moment. He led a massive rally in Ahmedabad for reservation in government jobs and colleges for the powerful Patels or Patidars.

Amidst riots and curfew, videos of police vandalising private property, using physical force against residents and making sexualised threats against women have come up.
