‘Will Kill You’: Gurugram Doctor Arrested for Allegedly Running Scorpio Over Swiggy Delivery Agent

Gurugram police arrest an Ayurvedic doctor for repeatedly running his SUV over a delivery rider after a parking row.

On Monday evening, 19 January 2026, Gurugram Police arrested Naveen Yadav, a 41 year old government Ayurvedic doctor, on charges of attempted murder.

The arrest follows a chilling incident in Hayatpur village where CCTV footage captured Yadav repeatedly ramming his black Mahindra Scorpio, fitted with an illegal siren, into 43 year old Swiggy delivery executive Tinku.

The attack, which took place late Sunday night, was allegedly fueled by a long standing grudge regarding delivery bikes obstructing the narrow lane near the doctor’s residence. While the doctor was reportedly intoxicated during the assault, the victim remains in critical condition at a private hospital in Rewari.

Parking Dispute Turned Violent

The accused, a Bachelor of Ayurvedic Medicine and Surgery (BAMS) practitioner employed at the Daulatabad Primary Health Centre, reportedly harboured deep resentment toward the gig workers at a nearby Swiggy warehouse.

Yadav, a resident of Bhagat Singh Colony, claimed that delivery partners frequently parked their motorcycles in a manner that obstructed his SUV. On Sunday night, this frustration escalated into a “fit of rage.” CCTV footage shows the Scorpio approaching with its siren blaring before deliberately hitting Tinku’s motorcycle.

The escalation from a common urban grievance to a life threatening assault has sparked a massive protest by hundreds of delivery workers outside the Sector 93 police post.

Chilling Evidence

The viral footage provides a graphic account of the brutality, showing Yadav hitting the victim, reversing, and then accelerating to run over him three to four times before fleeing.

Tinku, a resident of Chandpur Ki Dani, sustained grave injuries and was initially rushed to a government facility before being referred for advanced care.

Inspector Kuldeep, SHO of Sector 10, confirmed that an FIR has been registered under Section 109 (Attempt to Murder) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS) and the vehicle has been impounded.

The Logical Indian’s Perspective

At The Logical Indian, we believe that no amount of personal inconvenience can ever justify the blatant disregard for human life. It is particularly jarring when a member of the medical fraternity, trained to heal and protect, becomes the perpetrator of such calculated violence.

This incident highlights a troubling erosion of empathy toward the working class and the dangerous sense of entitlement often displayed by those in positions of authority.

We advocate for a society where conflict is resolved through dialogue and where the safety of gig workers is protected by both law and communal respect.
