When my dad passed away, the responsibility of the entire family fell on my shoulders because I was the eldest child.
We were financially bankrupt with zero assistance from relatives or friends. So I had to step out and play breadwinner for my household. Luckily I found a freelance writing job, and a while later I enrolled in university to get an education.

I will always be indebted to the few relatives who recognized the promise in me and helped me pay my first fee. Later, I began photographing events, particularly weddings, and soon discovered it to be my latent passion.

Two years have passed since I’ve been working as a wedding photographer and I couldn’t be more in love with what I do.

Now, at the age of 22, Alhamdulilah, I am able to support myself and my family of 4. I’m a part of one of the largest international student run organization, and a prominent student as well.

I’m thankful to Him for giving me this life and making me who I am today. Throughout the toughest trials of my life, He held onto me as I held onto Him until I finally reached the light at the end of the tunnel.

If there’s any lesson I’ve learned from life, it can be summed up as this:
“Life will continue throwing challenges at you and amidst every failure and knock-down lay a driblet of hope gather them up and you’ll have oceans of it. And hope is what leads you out of darkness”.
