Background and Examination Context: The Journey to Results

The WBCHSE conducted the Class 12 examinations from March 3 to March 18, 2025, across numerous examination centres throughout West Bengal. This year, over 8 lakh students registered for the exams, marking a slight increase compared to the previous year’s figure of approximately 7.90 lakh candidates. The Council ensured strict adherence to examination protocols to maintain integrity and fairness.

The evaluation process was completed efficiently, allowing the results to be declared on schedule. Notably, this academic year marks the final annual examination under the current system, as WBCHSE plans to transition to a semester-based evaluation system from the next academic year.

To accommodate all students, especially those from rural or digitally underserved areas, the Council activated multiple online portals and SMS services for result dissemination. Schools and educational institutions have been instructed to begin distribution of original mark sheets and pass certificates from May 8, 2025, ensuring students can proceed with admissions and other academic or career plans without delay.
