On World Human Rights Day, Wishes and Blessings, a Delhi-based registered NGO, honored ten exceptional individuals with the WB Ambassador of Humanity Awards 2025, recognizing their unwavering commitment to social welfare, community empowerment, and grassroots transformation. Organized in association with The Logical Indian at Triveni Kala Sangam, New Delhi, the event brought together changemakers from across India whose work reflects compassion in action.

The awards celebrated individuals working across child rights, education, healthcare, inclusion, environmental sustainability, and youth leadership—demonstrating how citizen-led initiatives continue to address gaps where systems often fall short.

A Rigorous, Merit-Based Process Rooted in Real Impact

The WB Ambassador of Humanity Awards followed a transparent, no-fee, and merit-driven evaluation process designed to identify genuine social impact. The selection process unfolded in three stages: an initial screening of nominations, followed by one-to-one conversations with 25 shortlisted candidates to assess the depth, sustainability, and community relevance of their initiatives. The final stage involved an independent jury review.

The jury comprised Dr. Shylashri Shankar (Senior Fellow, CPR), Dr. Indu Prakash Singh (Social Activist), Mr. Al Arafat Sherfuddeen (President, The Logical Indian), and Dr. Geetanjali Chopra (Founder and President, Wishes and Blessings). Together, they evaluated nominees on integrity, compassion, innovation, and measurable outcomes—ensuring that recognition remained rooted in substance rather than visibility.

Education, Health and Environment: Grassroots Action Across India

The WB Ambassador of Humanity Awards also spotlighted changemakers working in some of India’s most challenging geographies, where access to education, healthcare, and environmental resources remains uneven.

Ms. Portia Patatunda, a former journalist, was recognized for her work in Spiti Valley at 13,500 feet, where she runs the Rewa Buddhist Model School and Planet Spiti Foundation. Her efforts ensure free education, nutritious meals, and safe boarding for 150+ children, while also creating livelihoods for local women.

Mr. Raj Aryan (16) founded The Better Society Foundation, a student-led volunteer network spanning five states. With 800+ student volunteers, the foundation distributed 3,000 clothing items in 2025 and runs awareness campaigns on hygiene, education rights, and gender equality—entirely managed by students.

Healthcare professional Dr. Tejas Singhal was honored at the WB Ambassador of Humanity Awards for conducting 50+ free dental camps, benefiting 10,000+ individuals through oral cancer screenings, preventive care, and hygiene awareness, particularly in Bihar and Delhi.

Mr. Yuvraj Pradhan, who began his journey at 17 during the COVID-19 oxygen crisis, has since planted lakhs of trees and mobilized thousands of young people for sustained climate action—turning a moment of emergency into long-term environmental responsibility.

Ms. Anitha, an engineering student, was recognized for her quiet yet consistent work supporting children’s education and leading community awareness initiatives—demonstrating how everyday acts of compassion can create lasting social impact.
