In yet another case, highlighting the condition and treatment sportspersons face in our country, a national gold medal-winning boxer is forced to work as garbage collector for a living. Once a famous national-level gold medal-winning boxer, Kamal Kumar is now forced to collect garbage from door to door in Kanpur to earn a livelihood.

“I have 4 gold medals in the national level, 2 bronze medals in state level. It feels sad that even after doing so well in boxing, I am not able to find a 4th grade job,” Kamal said to IBN Live reporter

Kamal has four sons and he wants at least two of them to take up boxing to realise his unrealised dream.
