Dr Anand Rai, a key whistleblower in the Vyapam scam, has been transferred from Indore to Dhar. His wife Gouri, who is also a government doctor, too was transferred from civil hospital at Mhow in Indore to Ujjain district hospital last month.

“I am being targeted, several big names involved in the scam. My wife has also been targeted, this is a witch hunt against me. I will challenge my transfer order legally,” Rai said over his transfer order as reported in IBN.

Rai had lodged a complaint with the CBI alleging that Verma, using his influence and power, had got his daughter, pursuing MBBS in Santosh Medical College at Ghaziabad, transferred to Gandhi Medical College in Bhopal.

Rai had claimed that his family has been receiving threats and has demanded a probe by the Central Bureau of Investigation. Nearly 50 people have died in the case so far and at least 10 of them under mysterious circumstances.

“There is a particular pattern that can be seen in all of the Vyapam deaths and this is giving rise to suspicions. Out of all 45 deaths, at least ten of them are suspicious. Akshay Singh’s death is also suspicious,” Rai said.
