Flood due to heavy rainfall has left an extensive trail of damage and loss of life in Bahia, Brazil leaving 21 people dead, 77,000 people homeless and 470,000 people being affected. “It looks like war,” said the governor of Bahia. Sub national governments have been collaborating to rescue people through joint operations with boats and helicopters.
