Hundreds of farmers in Hanumangarh reached the district collectorate carrying trolleys of paddy to protest the delay of procurement of paddy at the Minimum Support Price (MSP). The police had closed the gates to the collectorate, where several farmers jumped the gate to enter the premises. The police had lathi-charged to force the crowd to move away from the premises.
