During the present Amarnath Yatra, ITBP troops are assisting pilgrims having trouble breathing at high altitudes by giving them oxygen as part of their security responsibilities. The ITBP forces routinely patrol the route from Sheshnag (12,324 feet) to Mahagunas top (14,000 feet), where such incidences of dyspnea and high altitude effect are being noted.
