PM Modi said on May 4 that India is committed to serving the needs of the poorest and most vulnerable people by developing next-generation infrastructure to help them achieve their goals during the 4th edition of the International Conference on Disaster Resilient Infrastructure. People must be at the centre of any infrastructure growth story. Infrastructure, he explained, is about people and providing them with high-quality, dependable, and long-term services in an equitable manner. According to the PM, India is increasing the supply of essential services in the areas of education, health, drinking water, power, and transportation, as well as directly addressing climate change.
