Relentless heavy rains in Assam, as of June 19, have affected over 37 Lakh people across 4,462 villages in the state at least 71 people were killed, and landslides were reported from 30 districts in the state. Over 1.5 lakh people are now forced to leave their homes and are sheltered in 816 state-run relief camps.
