India’s LGBTQIA+ Community Celebrates 1st ‘Real’ Independence Day By Singing National Anthem

Love is the language of freedom. On September 6th 2018, the Supreme Court of India repealed Section 377 delivering true freedom to millions of those who belong to LGBTQIA+ community. This year’s Independence Day may be the nation’s 73rd, but it was the Pride community’s first. In a video released by Humsafar trust, activists, entrepreneurs, filmmakers and writers belonging to LGBTQIA+ community take pride in who they are and sing national anthem.
