The Indian Air Force has removed the Air Officer Commanding the Sringar Air Base, under whose watch the Indian Mi-17 Chopper crashed on February 27 in Budgam, killing 6 airmen and one civilian. The investigators will look into the IFF system, which was turned off in the chopper, leading the ground units to believe that it is an enemy aircraft during the hair-trigger alert.
