The Lok Sabha passed the Citizenship Amendment Bill on Tuesday, January 8.

The bill seeks to provide Indian citizenship to six non-Muslim communities – Hindus, Jains, Christians, Sikhs, Buddhists and Parsis belonging to Bangladesh, Pakistan and Afghanistan
