On the occasion of Valentine’s Day, here’s what love does not promote. 90% of acid attacks occur due to rejected lovers wanting to seek revenge. This revenge comes at a very heavy price for the victim, forever stealing her identity, peace of mind and standing in society.

Monica Singh suffered an acid attack at the age of 19, the video above is inspired by her story. This video should go to show that just because someone may not feel the same way about you as you do for them, is not and never will be reason enough to destroy someone’s life. We choose whom to love and if that love is not reciprocated then one should move on. Love knows no violence. If you harm the person you claim to love, you never loved them to begin with.
