Power corrupts and absolute power corrupts absolutely, the video is symbolic of it and the many malaise’s which has plagued the political class. Madhya Pradesh’s Animal Husbandry Minister Kusum Mehdele kicked aside a teenage beggar who was asking her for alms yesterday, in a shocking and disturbing display of arrogance of power and hubris. The youth of this country are to be preserved & nurtured and not brushed aside by feet and more so not by an elected representative.

The minister later has denied the act, saying she “felt someone fall at my feet, but I ignored him and entered my car”. The teenaged boy, who was later traced by NDTV , rejected the Madhya Pradesh animal husbandry minister’s denial.

“I was just asking for a rupee from the minister as I was hungry and wanted to buy some food. But she kicked me. It is not right,” Mulua Adiwasi said.

Lack of vision for country and youth in particular is evident in the mindset of the politician in the video. The Logical Indian would like to convey the strongest possible condemnation for this outrageous behavior. Sacking the minister is the least recourse we expect. Banning the minister from politics and public life would do some justice.
