We all love to do our bit to the society when we could. But can a person dedicate his entire life for it, literally? A will to serve combined with a sense of social justice has been the guiding principle of Palam kalyanasundaram, who has spent over 50 years in social service, donating every single penny of his earning to the needy. A gold medalist in library science, he is also an MA in literature and history. During his 35-year-career as a librarian, he gave away all his salary for charity and served at a hotel to meet his daily needs. An American organization honored him with the ‘Man of the Millennium’ award and a prize grant of Rs.30 crores which he distributed entirely for the needy as usual. Moved by his passion to help others, Super Star RajniKanth adopted him as his father. An autobiography on him is being released this year by our PM.

The interesting facts are many and they continue to unveil as we learn more about him. If you really want to help the needy, are looking for a credible soul who bridges you to them genuinely, then here is the man of the millennium at your service. Reach out to him.

Currently, he runs a NGo named “Palam”, www.anbupaalam.org.
He can be reached at: #1, 4th Main Road, Kasthuribai Nagar, Adyar, Chennai – 600020
