In a verbal allegation, the Delhi Government has informed the Delhi High Court that app-based radio taxis run by Ola and Uber are overcharging their customers.

The allegation was presented to Justice Manmohan, who has asked the government to file an affidavit regarding the same.

According to the Delhi Government, Ola and Uber have been over-pricing their cab services. The actual distance covered is not displayed on the receipt.

The amount charged is much higher than the stipulated charge for the given distance, by three or four times.

During the brief hearing, the Association of Radio Taxis has also informed the court of the failure of these app-based cabs to comply with the phasing out of diesel cabs as ordered.

Ola and Uber representatives have denied the allegations made so far. The date for the hearing has been set for March 15, 2016.
