This may be typical stereotype, but there is hidden truth in it: We don’t wish to offend anyone; American kids have their own parenting problems, so do we. However we South Asians have tendency to push our kids in competition and bring out only one trait of ‘Studious Kid’ in them, sometime that may de-motivate them in life. Because, study is not only thing in life. Study is for life not life is for study.
