This Bangalore Youth Gave The Gift Of Life To Eight Americans

Those who donate organs are no less than god disguised in human form. Rajeev Naidu, 24 gave life to eight new persons in New York. This Bengaluru youth’s eyes, heart, pancreas, kidneys, oesophagus, liver, and bone marrow were donated after family gave the consent.

On February 21, he was admitted to the Brooklyn hospital Centre in New York after his lungs got affected. Rajeev was pursuing masters in engineering from New York University in Washington Square South. He was a meritorious student and staunch follower of New Zealand cricketer Brendon McCullum. Rajeev’s elder sister Kruthika Purushottam said that she and her parents didn’t go to US to see him after he fell sick. Kruthika’s husband Jayanth went to US to bring his body home.

She even added that they are proud of her brother’s deeds as he did a great service to mankind by donating his organs. His last rites are likely to be performed on Friday. Rajeev, completed BE in Computer Information Science from PESIT University in 2014.

He worked in Dilip Material Handling Equipment, a local company in Bommasandra, for a year before pursuing masters in NYU in 2015 Tejaswini Reddy, classmate remembered Rajeev as a bright student who was always in the forefront when it came to helping students. She said that he made India proud by donating organs to those who needed in the US.


The Logical Indian thoughts and prayers go out to Mr. Rajeev and his family at this time of immense grief and sorrow.
