Bengaluru influencer Neha Biswal has alleged that she was molested by a 10-year-old boy while vlogging in BTM Layout on November 5. The incident, captured on video, has sparked outrage and discussions about women’s safety in public spaces. Although some locals supported her, others urged her to forgive the boy due to his age. The police are investigating the matter, reviewing CCTV footage, but Biswal has chosen not to file an FIR to protect the child’s future.

Incident Details

Neha Biswal was filming her daily vlog when a boy on a bicycle approached her, initially teasing her before allegedly groping her. In her emotional video, she stated, “This has never happened to me. I feel really bad.” After raising an alarm, locals intervened and caught the boy; however, many suggested she let him go, citing his young age. “Only after I showed the video clearly showing what he had done did people believe me,” she explained.

Background Context

This incident highlights ongoing concerns about harassment faced by women in urban India. Following the event, Biswal expressed gratitude for the support from some locals while lamenting the dismissive attitudes of others. The police confirmed they are investigating the matter and have detained the boy for questioning. DCP South Sarah Fatima stated that they are looking into the incident without filing a formal complaint, as Biswal aims to protect the child’s future.
