The incident began on November 18 when she reportedly went missing, prompting her father to file a disappearance report. Authorities traced her to Noida, where she allegedly confessed to the hoax, revealing that she conspired with four accomplices.

Nandini left for college on November 18 and was reported missing by her father, Babloo Dhimar, after he received a ransom video showing her bound and demanding money. Following a police investigation initiated by her father’s complaint, Nandini was located in Noida on November 20. During questioning, she allegedly admitted that financial pressure from gambling debts led her to orchestrate the kidnapping scheme with friends.
