The Telangana Teacher Eligibility Test (TS TET) June 2025 results were officially released on July 22 by the Department of School Education, Telangana. The online examinations, held from June 18 to June 30 in 16 sessions, saw 1,37,429 candidates appearing. Of these, 29,043 candidates qualified in Paper 1 (primary level) out of 47,224, and 30,649 qualified in Paper 2 (upper primary) out of 90,205 candidates.

This translates to a 61.50% pass rate for Paper 1 and 33.98% for Paper 2. The qualifying criteria are 60% for General category, 50% for Backward Classes, and 40% for SC/ST/PwD candidates. The results, final answer keys, and scorecards are available on the official portal tgtet.aptonline.in. Passing this test is essential for eligibility in government and private teacher recruitment in Telangana.

Improved Pass Rates Signal Progress, But Challenges Remain

Compared to the January 2025 TS TET, the June results show a rise in pass percentage—from 59.48% to 61.50% in Paper 1, and from 31.21% to 33.98% in Paper 2. However, these rates remain slightly lower than the 2024 TET results, indicating ongoing challenges in teacher preparation.

Education Secretary Dr Yogita Rana said, “We congratulate the successful candidates and acknowledge the perseverance of all aspirants. The department remains committed to supporting candidates through transparent processes and increased preparatory resources.” The exam was conducted bilingually in English and the candidate’s chosen language (except Sanskrit), maintaining inclusivity and fairness.

TS TET’s Critical Role in Telangana’s Education Recruitment

TS TET serves as the mandatory eligibility test for candidates aspiring to teach classes I to VIII in Telangana’s government and aided schools. The June 2025 test was fully administered online, reflecting a push towards digitalisation and transparency in examination conduct.

The test certificates now have lifetime validity, aligning with national norms, thus facilitating easier application processes for the upcoming District Selection Committee (DSC) recruitments. The Department’s timely publication of final answer keys and results underscores efforts to ensure fairness and accountability in teacher recruitment.

The Logical Indian’s Perspective

The rising qualification rates in TS TET June 2025 are encouraging signs of progress in Telangana’s mission to strengthen its teaching workforce. Yet, the notably lower pass percentage in Paper 2 compared to Paper 1 demands a deeper focus on enhanced training and support for upper primary teacher candidates.

The Logical Indian applauds the government’s transparent and digital approach but believes more must be done to democratise access to quality preparatory resources, mentoring, and emotional support for all aspirants.
