A gynecologist in Ukraine was suspected of photographing women while examining them in his clinic and selling the footage of several naked women to an unknown porn website.

The gynecologist, Dr. Vyacheslav Tripolko, was questioned by the police after a woman discovered herself on the porn site, where the footage showed her getting an ultrasound done.

After receiving the complaint, police officials had found a hidden camera in his clinic which further increased suspicions.

A popular gynecologist among his peers, Tripolko has not been detained but is restricted from performing any surgeries in Odessa Regional Oncological Centre in the country. A pre-trial criminal probe has been launched by police into the production and distribution of pornographic photographs. The punishment for the same carries around a maximum of seven-year jail term.

The Daily Mail reported that Tripolko denied the allegations. “He thinks he is a pawn in somebody’s game,” a patient said.

She added that he blamed the rival gynecologists for installing a camera in his clinic to frame him.

On learning that the doctor has been questioned by police, the patient added, “Anyone could install that camera. It must be proved that it was Tripolko who installed it and passed on the videos.”

Tripolko also claimed that he had a new alarm clock installed in his clinic the previous summer and someone must have then installed a hidden camera in the vicinity.

The police questioned the IT personnel at the hospital where Tripolko worked, but he claimed that he was not responsible for the clinic which occupied the rented space and used an independent internet provider.

“At first, I thought it was someone else’s evil joke. As a citizen, as a doctor I am stunned,” said Dr. Oleg Lukyanchuk, head of the hospital.
