Anuj Sachdeva, the 40-year-old actor recognised for his roles in popular TV serials Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai and Saath Nibhaana Saathiya, was allegedly brutally attacked by a fellow resident of his society in Goregaon West, Mumbai, on 14 December 2025.
The incident stemmed from Sachdeva’s complaint in the society WhatsApp group about Singh’s car parked incorrectly in the common area, escalating when Sachdeva, accompanied by friend Priyanka Pereira and walking his dog Simba, confronted the matter; Singh reportedly grabbed a wooden stick from a security guard, striking Sachdeva on the head, back, and leg while hurling abuses and threats such as “Kutte se katwayega?” and vows to kill him, also targeting the dog.
Bleeding profusely from his head, Sachdeva captured the chaos on video, posting it on Instagram as evidence and pleading for intervention from authorities; two security guards eventually intervened to restrain Singh, who fled claiming police could do nothing.
Bangur Nagar police swiftly registered an FIR against Singh under BNS sections 118 (causing hurt by dangerous weapons) and 351(2) (criminal intimidation) by 11:45 pm, with investigations underway, though no statements from Singh, society management, or further arrests have surfaced yet; the video’s virality has sparked public outrage over rising society tensions.
