Nidhi Singh, a Powerlifting Champion & rising star who have represented and made India proud many times with her accolades, is waiting for her turn to get the recognition and financial support.

She Comes from an extremely poor family of a Village ( Pachewara) in Mirzapur District of UP. Her father, Girija Prasad Singh is a retired Fourth grade employee and her coach is Sh. Kamala Pati Tripathi from same village.

Nidhi has so far won 6 gold, 1 silver and 2 bronze in international events, and 5 gold, 2 silver and 3 bronze in national events. It is very unfortunate that even after having done a lot for Nation, she has to arrange her deposit fee for the participation in each such events Every time in form of donation without a single penny help of federation, State or Central government or any private sponsors. Failing which, She has been deprived to participate many times.There were instances as well where she could not participate because of insufficient funds.

Now her next event is “Commonwealth Powerlifting Championship-2015” which is going to be held in Canada between 1st to 5th December for that She needed Rs. 245000 to deposit with federation and some more amount for her kit and diet etc. Due to poverty she is not able to take proper food also. Please help her and thus India, by spreading the message.
